Thank you for considering Quarter Press as a home for your work!
If you have not already done so, be sure to familiarize yourself with the press by visiting www.quarterpress.com.
Please be sure to select the appropriate category for your submission, noting between The Quarter(ly)'s various themes, where to submit for contests, if you have comic / graphic novel subs, or if you'd like to help cover operating costs with a tip.
I look forward to checking out your creations, and I wish you the best,
-Chris Smith, Editor-in-Chief
Could be animation or cartoon influence (please!) or what are those forces that put us into motion?
Or anything that ties images and text.
Or thoughts on motion.
Or, you know, anything that you think ties into the theme.
~ As always, we're looking for works with some sort of fantastical / magical / surreal elements. That doesn't mean that every poem in the chapbook needs to fall into this category, but the overall chapbook should have those elements present.
~ Otherwise, there is no specific theme for the content. We will consider all types and styles from all walks of life and perspectives.
~ Poems may be any style / form / type, including prose poems.
~ Chapbooks should be NO MORE THAN 40 pages of poetry, regardless of the number of poems.
~ Physical printing size and style may vary depending on length and content. For shorter chapbooks, they may be handmade. Longer chapbooks may be outsourced for printing.
~ While individual poems can be previously published, the chapbook as a whole should not have been published / distributed elsewhere.
~ Along those lines, we will consider chapbooks with poems currently being submitted elsewhere.
~ Please submit your chapbook as single document, as either a Word doc or PDF.
~ALL SUBMISSIONS will have their previously unpublished poems considered for publication in The Quarter(ly).

Zine-length to full-on Graphic Novel, we’d love to see what you can do—as an individual or a team. We can’t pair writers with artists, unfortunately, but we’re actively looking to publish zines, standard-size comics, and graphic novels.
We need a strong sense of both your story and art. If the work is a single-comic length (32 pages or less), then we need to see the entire project. For longer works, please submit a 1-2 page synopsis of the story, 10 - 20 completed pages, and a realistic completion date.
Remember, "Interest in Seeing More" does NOT guarantee publication.
Thank you for wanting to help Quarter Press cover website, literary memberships, hosting fess, and the ability to pay our contributors a token amount. (If we see an increase in funds, we will be sure to up our future payouts!)
I truly appreciate your interest in Quarter Press and your willingness to help keep us pushing forward to the next project.
Please Note: This does NOT guarantee publication or sway the submission one way or another. The same review process will be given to each submission.
